A University Tradition
The University Club is a historical landmark located minutes from The University of Alabama’s campus. James H. Dearing, a member of the Alabama legislature, was its first occupant in 1834. Over the years, it housed many Alabama elites, notably becoming the residence for Governor Arthur Bagby during his time in office. In 1946, The University Club was established as a private club for UA Faculty and Staff. Today, we provide excellent cuisine for private dining and create memorable experiences for The University community and other area residents.
Daily Lunch Buffet
We invite you to join us for our daily lunch buffet! The buffet is available Sunday - Friday from 11:00am-1:30pm. Our A la Carte
menu is also available on weekdays. Reservations are encouraged.
Monday, Apr. 21st – Fried Catfish, Hamburger Steak with Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Turnip Greens, and Butterbeans
Tuesday, Apr. 22nd – Chicken Cordon Bleu, Blackened Tilapia, Fried Okra, Stewed Squash, and Rice Pilaf
Wednesday, Apr. 23rd – BBQ Pork, Grilled Chicken Breast, Baked Beans, Loaded Mashed Potatoes, and Grilled Vegetables
Thursday, Apr. 24th – Pot Roast, Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders, Roasted Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, and Cream Style Corn
Friday, Apr. 25th – Lasagna, Herb Roasted Chicken, Artichoke Ragout, White Rice, and Broccoli
Saturday, Apr. 26th – CLOSED
Sunday, Apr. 27th – Hawaiian Pork Loin, Fried Flounder, Grilled Chicken Breast, and Pineapple Cake
Monday, Apr. 28th – Crawfish Etoufee, Chicken Marsala, Okra and Tomatoes, White Rice, and Carrots
