A University Tradition
The University Club is a historical landmark located minutes from The University of Alabama’s campus. James H. Dearing, a member of the Alabama legislature, was its first occupant in 1834. Over the years, it housed many Alabama elites, notably becoming the residence for Governor Arthur Bagby during his time in office. In 1946, The University Club was established as a private club for UA Faculty and Staff. Today, we provide excellent cuisine for private dining and create memorable experiences for The University community and other area residents.
Daily Lunch Buffet
We invite you to join us for our daily lunch buffet! The buffet is available Sunday - Friday from 11:00am-1:30pm. Our A la Carte
menu is also available on weekdays. Reservations are encouraged.
Monday, Apr. 14th – Chicken Florentine, Smoked Sausage and Peppers, Tomato Pie, Asparagus, and Squash and Onions
Tuesday, Apr. 15th – Pork Cutlets, Salmon Patties, Roasted Potatoes, Steamed Broccoli, and Butterbeans
Wednesday, Apr. 16th – Beef Brisket, Pan Seared Chicken Breast, Mashed Potatoes, Pinto Beans, and Squash Casserole
Thursday, Apr. 17th – John Wayne Casserole, Orange Chicken, Sesame Green Beans, Long Grain and Wild Rice, and Vegetable Medley
Friday, Apr. 18th – Monterrey Chicken, Fried Flounder, Cilantro Rice, Grilled Zucchini, and English Peas and Carrots
Saturday, Apr. 19th – CLOSED
Sunday, Apr. 20th – EASTER SUNDAY (11:00am & 1:00pm seating's available)
Monday, Apr. 21st – Fried Catfish, Hamburger Steak with Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Turnip Greens, and Butterbeans
