A University Tradition
The University Club is a historical landmark located minutes from The University of Alabama’s campus. James H. Dearing, a member of the Alabama legislature, was its first occupant in 1834. Over the years, it housed many Alabama elites, notably becoming the residence for Governor Arthur Bagby during his time in office. In 1946, The University Club was established as a private club for UA Faculty and Staff. Today, we provide excellent cuisine for private dining and create memorable experiences for The University community and other area residents.
Daily Lunch Buffet
We invite you to join us for our daily lunch buffet! The buffet is available Sunday - Friday from 11:00am-1:30pm. Our A la Carte
menu is also available on weekdays. Reservations are encouraged.
Monday, April 13th – Vegetable Lasagna, Beer Battered Cod, Roasted Potatoes, Corn, and Green Beans
Tuesday, April 14th – Beef Brisket, Cajun Catfish, Green Lima Beans, Rice Pilaf, and Grilled Squash
Wednesday, April 15th – Irish Chicken Stew, Pork Roast with Kraut, Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli and Cauliflower, and Grilled Asparagus
Thursday, April 16th – Beef Tips with Gravy, Chicken Casserole, Herbed Rice, Sautéed Cabbage, and Roasted Zucchini
Friday, April 17th – BBQ Cookout Day: BBQ Bone-In Chicken, Carolina Baby Back Ribs, Baked Beans, Cowboy Potatoes, and Grilled Squash
Sunday, April 19th – Carved Leg of Lamb, Chicken Marsala, Vegetable Quiche, and Lemon Meringue Pie
Monday, April 20th – Boom Boom Chicken, Grilled Tilapia, Creamed Corn, Stewed Squash, and Black-Eyed Peas
