A University Tradition
The University Club is a historical landmark located minutes from The University of Alabama’s campus. James H. Dearing, a member of the Alabama legislature, was its first occupant in 1834. Over the years, it housed many Alabama elites, notably becoming the residence for Governor Arthur Bagby during his time in office. In 1946, The University Club was established as a private club for UA Faculty and Staff. Today, we provide excellent cuisine for private dining and create memorable experiences for The University community and other area residents.
Daily Lunch Buffet
We invite you to join us for our daily lunch buffet! The buffet is available Sunday - Friday from 11:00am-1:30pm. Our A la Carte
menu is also available on weekdays. Reservations are encouraged.
Monday, October 20th – Salisbury Steak and Gravy, Chicken with Apricot Sauce, Squash Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans
Tuesday, October 21st – Fried Pork Cutlets, Shrimp with Sautéed Vegetables, Field Peas, Yellow Rice, and Zucchini and Tomatoes
Wednesday, October 22nd – Chicken Pot Pie, Beef Tips, Broccolini, Rice, and Carrots
Thursday, October 23rd – John Wayne Casserole, Chicken with Sundried Tomatoes, Cowboy Potatoes, Collards, and Stewed Squash
Friday, October 24th – Fried Flounder, Chicken Marsala, Wild Rice, Roasted Zucchini, and Okra and Tomatoes
Sunday, October 26th – Prime Rib, Fried Shrimp, Greek Chicken, and Assorted Pastries
Monday, October 27th – Grilled Pork Loin, Chicken and Dumplings, Tomato Pie, Fried Squash, and Butterbeans
