A University Tradition
The University Club is a historical landmark located minutes from The University of Alabama’s campus. James H. Dearing, a member of the Alabama legislature, was its first occupant in 1834. Over the years, it housed many Alabama elites, notably becoming the residence for Governor Arthur Bagby during his time in office. In 1946, The University Club was established as a private club for UA Faculty and Staff. Today, we provide excellent cuisine for private dining and create memorable experiences for The University community and other area residents.
Daily Lunch Buffet
We invite you to join us for our daily lunch buffet! The buffet is available Sunday - Friday from 11:00am-1:30pm. Our A la Carte
menu is also available on weekdays. Reservations are encouraged.
Monday, October 27th – Grilled Pork Loin, Chicken and Dumplings, Tomato Pie, Fried Squash, and Butterbeans
Tuesday, October 28th – Sweet Potato Cottage Pie, Lemon Pepper Tilapia, Mac and Cheese, Broccoli, and Roasted Squash
Wednesday, October 29th – Vegetable Lasagna, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Herb Roasted Potatoes, Vegetable Medley, and French Green Beans
Thursday, October 30th – Mahi Mahi with Pineapple Salsa, Country Style Beef Stew, Succotash, Rice Pilaf, and Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Friday, October 31st – Beef Brisket, Chicken Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Fried Okra, and Carrots
Sunday, November 2nd – Bourbon Chicken, Shrimp Scampi with Linguini, Fried Pork Chops, and Apple Pie
Monday, November 3rd – Chicken with Sundried Tomatoes, Salisbury Steak with Gravy, Fried Squash, Mashed Potatoes, and Vegetable Medley
