A University Tradition
The University Club is a historical landmark located minutes from The University of Alabama’s campus. James H. Dearing, a member of the Alabama legislature, was its first occupant in 1834. Over the years, it housed many Alabama elites, notably becoming the residence for Governor Arthur Bagby during his time in office. In 1946, The University Club was established as a private club for UA Faculty and Staff. Today, we provide excellent cuisine for private dining and create memorable experiences for The University community and other area residents.
Daily Lunch Buffet
We invite you to join us for our daily lunch buffet! The buffet is available Sunday - Friday from 11:00am-1:30pm. Our A la Carte
menu is also available on weekdays. Reservations are encouraged.
Monday, September 1st – Closed, Labor Day
Tuesday, September 2nd – Grilled Pork Loin, Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy, Roasted Potatoes, Grilled Zucchini, and Red Wine Mushrooms
Wednesday, September 3rd – Grilled Chicken with Honey Mustard Sauce, Vegetable Lasagna, Long Grain and Wild Rice, Asparagus, and Creamed Corn
Thursday, September 4th – BBQ Pork, Fried Catfish, Cowboy Potatoes, Baked Beans, and Sautéed Cabbage
Friday, September 5th – Beer Battered Cod, Country Style Pot Roast, Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and Onion, and Purple Hull Peas
Sunday, September 7th – Carved Prime Rib, Blackened Mahi Mahi, Fried Pork Cutlet, and Blackberry Cobbler
Monday, September 8th – Chicken with Sundried Tomato Sauce, Beef Noodle Casserole, Corn, Steamed Broccoli, and Zucchini
