A University Tradition
The University Club is a historical landmark located minutes from The University of Alabama’s campus. James H. Dearing, a member of the Alabama legislature, was its first occupant in 1834. Over the years, it housed many Alabama elites, notably becoming the residence for Governor Arthur Bagby during his time in office. In 1946, The University Club was established as a private club for UA Faculty and Staff. Today, we provide excellent cuisine for private dining and create memorable experiences for The University community and other area residents.
